The Karnataka government has made significant efforts to maintain and restore monuments tied to her memory, particularly in her home region of Kittur. The palace where she once resided, though dilapidated, is set to undergo strengthening and restoration. Additionally, plans have been made to build a new palace adjacent to the existing one to honor her historical significance.

In 2023, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced the installation of statues of both Kittur Rani Chennamma and her military chief, Sangolli Rayanna, at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi. This initiative is part of a larger effort to celebrate their contributions to India's freedom struggle and ensure that their legacy is preserved for future generations.
